Only The Young perform at Under The Bridge

Fans were gathered outside Stamford Bridge Stadium on Saturday bursting with excitement for what was going to be a very emotional day. No, Chelsea didn't have a match, infact, it wasn't even their supporters there. Instead, Only The Young had two jammed packed headline shows lined up to perform at Under The Bridge.

Now, if you've been living under a rock these past 8 months I'll give you a little reminder. Only The Young are a four piece mixed band, 'TWO GIRLS TWO BOYS'  (to quote Louis Walsh), consisting of Parisa Tarjomani, Charlie George, Betsy-Blue English and Mikey Bromley. They auditioned for The X Factor in 2014 and from the get go they were praised for their refreshing originiality and Simon even said he would love to work with them. Throughout the show their unique talent and versitility made them extremely popular as they got through to live shows and made it onto the tour, until they were sourly booted off Week 7 in a double elimination. But as everyone in the nation already knew, this was only the beginning of Only The Young.

Since then the band have been busy on The X Factor tour giving them the perfect opportunity to have a little taste of what their lives could be like, touring the country and singing to sold-out arenas every night. They have also been making time for studio sessions teasing their Twitter followers with pictures and snippets of new original songs which has all led up to this day.

As expected, from the outset their high energy personalities shone through starting off with their version of Jailhouse Rock which we all heard on X Factor to get the crowd thriving. Throughout the show they had the perfect balance of uptempo songs and ballads both covers and originals, showing off just how talented the foursome were with their incredible vocals and even playing their own instruments. Adding that with their sense of humour, silly little stories and party tricks (including Mikey's rapping and Charlie's worm) their funfilled show was suitable for all ages.

The set concluded with Parisa's announcement that they have actually been signed to Warner Music and introduced their original song I Do which was a potential single for them, before ending the night with an emotional tribute to Parisa's mother with their version of Hold Back The River.

I wish them every bit of luck for the future and I just know that they are definitely ones to  watch out for. This is only the start for Only The Young!!
